Last Minute Care for Potato and Sammi was Doggone Fun!

When I received a last minute request to take care of  Potato (the happy fella on the left) and Sammi (the pretty girl on the right) during the Fourth of July weekend I was happy to oblige because their owners were certain their senior pups wouldn't feel comfortable in an unfamiliar boarding facility.

I'm pleased to say that these sweeties quickly bonded with their new pet sitter while also enjoying entertaining strolls with my sidekick, Daisy (the napping coon hound, pictured), three times a day for 30-60 minutes each! The pups look tired in this picture because they were recuperating from a long evening walk AND a porch party invite with a group of college students who snapped selfies with them! Because Potato has such an unusually adorable name social media was a must-have for these students! Needless to say, it took a lot of coaxing to get these pups to go home with me!

Once the walks were over, Sammi was relieved to see that I was settling in for a little while longer on

                                                                    Daisy!

As you can imagine, it was rewarding to see how happy Potato and Sammi were with their new pet sitter and four-legged friend and I look forward to seeing them again soon!
